Three Minute Future Fiction Podcast Introduction



Classroom Discussion:

Begin Writing 3 Minute Future Story

MUST’s for 3 Minute Future Story
  • Must be 2:30-3:00 minutes in length when read (practice!) – Stories over three minutes will not qualify in any way
  • Must make sense (no overly silly stories)
  • Must stick with one of the writing prompts given
  • Must be realistic
  • Must be written in a Google Document and Proofed by another student
  • Must be recorded on your PC and turned in to Mr. Miles at a later time

Community Advocate Project Outline

Important Questions before writing a letter:
  • What aspects of your community do you see a need for improvement?
  • What are your ideas for community improvement centers?
Business Letter - Today, you are going to write a business letter to your town's Chamber of Commerce. You will do a quick Google Search and find a format for the business letter. Stick with that format.

In that letter (in Google Drive), you are going to state the following:
  • Who you are (your age, name, neighborhood, etc.)
  • Your purpose (why are you opening a community center)?
  • How will your plan help the community?
  • Who will benefit from this program?
  • How much will it cost? - THINK THIS THROUGH!
